The Charity
The Park Nicollet Foundation raises funds for multiple free school based healthcare services. Below are descriptions and links of the two programs I will be supporting during my ride. Click on the donations page to support one or both of these programs.
Growing through Grief is a program that provides school-based counseling and crisis response for students who have lost a loved one. One in 13 children lose someone close to them and navigating these emotions can be very challenging. Growing through Grief serves over 100 schools in 16 school districts to support students going through a loss. Services are barrier free with no cost to the student or their family and care is brought directly to the school so no transportation is required. The response from students about the Growing through Grief program is overwhelmingly positive with 99% of students saying it improves their knowledge of grief and 95% saying they have improved coping skills. School-based Healthcare Clinics
The Park Nicollet Foundations supports four school-based resource centers in different school districts. These clinics provide free healthcare services to both students and community members. A variety of healthcare services are provided and ease the burden for students who may have difficulty getting care elsewhere. This allows these students to focus better on other important aspects of their lives. Click here to learn more about the services provided through these clinics.
